Tonight we took the kids to Reese Carnival to see our friends band play! Throughout the year, we try to take the kids to the local carnivals, etc. because they are the only places they can see Dean Crawford and the Dunns River Band play!
We arrived and set up our chairs and blanket. Then we walked around the carnival. Due to funds being low, and the fact that wrist bands cost $20 PER CHILD, and tickets are $1 each, and most rides take 2-4 tickets, we decided that we were NOT riding the rides. As you can imagine, the kids were not thrilled with this decision AT ALL, but after a small fit and threats to leave, they accepted. We walked around and they each got to play a few games, got water ice, and we went back and sat down to listen to the music.
The kids had a great time. They sang and danced and laughed. We met up with some friends, and it was fun. In the end, Dylan and Emily got their autograph, and were very proud. It ended up being a pretty good time!
