Today the kids had an appointment at the dentist. We packed up the car and headed out for a drive, as our dentist is in Eldersburg, about 45 min away. We arrived and settled in, as with 3 children to be seen, I knew we would be there awhile. Our appointment was at 2pm, but we arrived at 1:40, hoping to get started. Wishful thinking, I guess. Our dentist office is as slow as Molasses!! 
At 2:13, They finally called for Skyler to come back. I remained in the waiting room with the others. After about 25 minutes, they called me back. Skylers cleaning was completed, but he has 2 cavities that they wanted to fill. This would be an experience in itself. I held his hand while they applies the topical numbing creme and then time for the needle. They asked him to close his eyes and they were going to get the buggies out! He fussed a little, but overall did great! He got to pick a toy out of the toy chest and we cam back to the waiting room.
At approximately 2:50, they called Emily back. After a cleaning, they said that she had no cavities, but they would like to put a sealant over he back molars to prevent cavities. She did great! Suprisingly, Hayden did fairly well throughout this whole process. She played, threw magazines, and fussed a little, but all in all, she did good!
At about 3:29, they called Dylan back. After a much needed, DEEP cleaning, he also had no cavities. They applied sealant on his back molars and sent him on his way! Poor Skyler was numb and throughout the rest of the day. He proceeded to chew on his lip and cheek, which in the end wound up bleeding and swollen. Poor little guy! :( We wound up leaving the Dentist at approximately 4:06pm. What a great way to spend the afternoon! At least it only happens twice per year!
